Direction is vitally important as well.... Eastward in a direct line through the trees is the Renoir Museum. It was the final home of Auguste Renoir, the great impressionist painter in France before his death in 1919. It now is a museum with his later work as well the site of his last studio. At the end of his life to paint he had to tie the brushes to his rheumatic hands. His brushes and palette still hang in their familiar places. |
