Humble : In the twenty-first century, one needs caution using the word humble and hand-made to describe the same object in one sentence. Human can easily may possess nothing hand-made for reasons rich and even lamentable. Still it remains that the hand-made is nearly the exclusive provence of the elite. Is it impossible to create things both humble and handmade? Does humbleness itself now necessitate an extra vigilance or special cognizance of manufactured goods in ordinary life. |

Ephemeral: Installations are almost by definition the ephemera of the artworld. They last briefly like flowers. This installation too was as fugative as a daisy. |

Evocative: Although wabi objects tend to simple in themselves, they equally tend to evoke multilayered sensations. Like perception, wabi is free associative; a philosophy as reflective as glass. |

"Even at the most austere level of material existence, we still live in a world of things. Wabi-sabi is exactly about the delicate balance between the pleasure we get from things and the pleasure we get from freedom from things"
